2000Trees Festival organisers have announced that Slaves will be one of three headliners at this year's festival. The chart-topping punk rock two piece are joined by Jamie Lenman, Muncie Girls, Apologies, I Have None, Personal Best, Petrol Girls, DOE, Jonah Matranga and more in this first wave of bands.
2000Trees will take place from the 6th - 8th of July this year and will return to the gorgeous surroundings of Upcote Farm just outside of Cheltenham - the festival's home for many years. Following Trees' 10th anniversary celebrations last year, it's a wonder how they could up the ante again and well, they're already looking on track:
Also announced today were Nothing But Thieves, Pulled Apart By Horses, Feed The Rhino, Dionsaur Pile-Up, Black Foxxes, Area 11, Queen Kwong, Vukovi, Steven Battelle, The One Hundred, Tigercub, Wars, Making Monsters, Grumble Bee, Shvpes, Bad Sign, Away Days, Bellevue Days, Weirds, Milestones, Cassels, Fizzy Blood, Giants, The St. Pierre Snake Invasion, Polary and Soeur
As initial announcements go, that is far from a bad one. I love 2000Trees and am excited to see how they build on that, but the foundations are certainly solid so far. For more information on the festival, click here.
