Kendal Calling will be headlined by six huge acts, festival organisers have announced today. Stereophonics, The Manic Street Preachers, Brian Wilson presents Pet Sounds, Frank Turner and The Sleeping Souls, Tinie Tempah and Franz Ferdinand are all amongst the first massive announcement for 2017.
If you thought that was enough, well how about this? On top of those big names topping the bill the Lake District will also play host to Frightened Rabbit, Jake Bugg, Seasick Steve, Editors, Circa Waves, Slaves, Loyle Carner, Lethal Bizzle, The Coral, The Hunna, Nothing But Thieves, Kate Nash, Shame, Jungle, Faithless, Field Music, Fickle Friends, Honeyblood, Palace, Little Comets, Blaenavon, Shame, The Pale White, Fast Bad Sounds, Soshe, Reverend And The Makers, Freak, Man & The Echo, Bossy, Love, White, The Shimmer Band, Fews, Ardyn, Dead!, Mexrissey and Kendal Calling favourites The Lancashire Hotpots, .
That's not even the whole lineup either. There's more and you can read them all here and wonder what you're going to have to do to be in Kendal this July. KC organiser Andy Smith said of the announcement: “Drastic times call for drastic measures and to that end we’ve gone the whole nine yards! We're excited to be welcoming no less than 6 headliners to the fields this year, including Brian Wilson’s last appearance on these shores as he performs Pet Sounds in full. See you in the fields!”
Incredible. Kendal Calling 2017 tickets are on sale from Friday and you can get them here.
