Photos: TWLOHA Presents Heavy and Light
Those unfamiliar with To Write Love on Her Arms and their mission will, at the very least, recognize its acronym, seen emblazoned across the chests of so many of their favorite bands. Those who are familiar know that TWLOHA is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. They’ve done a lot of good work over the past six years.
Last night, supporters and fans packed Orlando’s House of Blues for Heavy and Light, an evening of songs, conversation and hope, from voices like David Bazan (Pedro The Lion), Chris Carrabba (Dashboard Confessional), William Fitzsimmons, Noah and Abby Gunderson, Mariah McManus, and the poet Anis Mojgani. TWLOHA founder Jamie Tworkowski added his voice, as did Renee Yohe, the inspiration behind TWLOHA. It was an incredibly special evening hosted by incredibly special people.
