I’ve been obsessing over Now, Now’s new track “School Friends” since it premiered on RollingStone.com a few days ago, just like I did with “Dead Oaks” when it came out last month, and just like I do over everything they touch. “School Friends” has the quintessential happy melancholia that I long for, paired with always perfect vocals and dead on instrumentation. With every new track they release, Now, Now are leading up to this amazing new record (Threads, out March 6th on Chris Walla’s Trans-Records) that might be this year’s best.
