Video: Josh Ritter – Girl In The War (Live Unplugged)

I think I chase live recordings because of their power to send me back to some of the most unbelievable moments of my life. I wasn’t at this show (I was busy partying it up across the country celebrating my and my best friend’s birthday, so I had a good excuse). This video, however, reminds me of the first time I ever saw Josh Ritter play and what a life changing event it was.

This version of “Girl In The War” (filed under “songs that will never, never ever get old” in my heart) is a special trio performance, unplugged for the purest of sounds.
