Video: Micah Schabel – Choir Boys (Live)

I expected this performance to be a big deal because Micah Schnabel is amazing, but it ended up striking me still. As I mentioned earlier, Micah rocked a tiny club at the end of the UMS strip and made my night. He mentioned that a lot of these songs came from a dark period in his life, including an incident of beginning the night in Ohio and waking up in Chicago. I had just gone through a similar (but not quite that extreme) episode of my own, so it struck home. This video is just the tip of the iceberg of Micah’s live performance, but gives a bit of a preview. If you’re in Denver, make sure to stop by the Suburban Home Anniversary Party this weekend (tickets) to see both a solo performance and to have your mind blown by Two Cow Garage. See you there.
