Listen & Watch: Quiet Company – Fear & Fallacy, Sitting in a Tree
The newest video and track from the inimitably bearded gentlemen who make up Quiet Company have been kicking around for a couple of weeks, and I had certainly meant to share it with you guys well before now, but you know, things happen. The time is drawing ever nearer for their newest album release (October 4th, to be precise), and I’ve been listening to this song a lot lately, so it seemed appropriate for me to tell you about it today (if you hadn’t already heard). We Are All Where We Belong is shaping up to be an absolutely gorgeous record – possibly even better than last year’s EP, Songs For Staying In (which I really, really loved).
So here, have a listen to the gorgeous, piano driven “Fear & Fallacy, Sitting in a Tree”. With stark, narrative lyrics and Taylor Muse’s absolutely lovely, powerful vocals layered over finely tuned instrumentation (and featuring a bit of a choir there toward the end), this tune has the makings of an anthem. Just beautiful.
