Welcome to The Ruckus
Written by Melanie // December 22, 2009 // Features // 6 Comments
So, hey. American Indie is now The Ruckus. We’re still the music blog you’ve come to love tenderly, but with a new name and a bit of a twist. Consider it our holiday present to you.
We’re still working out the kinks, so you’ll notice missing images and possibly even bouncing email (you can remedy that by emailing Melanie at melanie@whatstheruckus.com and Tiffiny at tiffiny@whatstheruckus.com), but we’ll have that sorted over the next couple of days. It wasn’t supposed to be this way, we promise, but the internet had other ideas.
It’s an appropriate beginning, we feel.

The Ruckus makes me thing of cute rugby boys. Which is never a bad thing, to be honest.
I agree entirely.
Sweet!
and that being one of my favorite movies ever, I LIKE IT! and I like YOU too.
To me, the first thing that comes to mind is Elizabethtown… and it reminds me of cousin Jesse’s band
Congrats everyone!
Rad. Great [re]name.
Thanks, Mark! We’re not so American anymore with the addition of a couple of Brits. It also reflects our attitude, we feel.
Dear Melanie,
<3
I already told Sheena that “Ruckus” reminds me of “Elizabethtown” and Drew’s cousin Jesse’s band.
I love it! It looks amazing!!
