People We Like: King Charles

King Charles from Black Cab Sessions on Vimeo.
So, I discovered King Charles while casually perusing the Black Cab Sessions on Vimeo awhile back. I’m not usually so easy, Internet, but it took me about 30 seconds to fall for this song (which I believe is called “Ivory Road”). Essentially what I’m saying is that if this were a date, I’d be putting out right now. King Charles is from London, which is completely unsurprising given the tunes that are coming from across the pond. You’ll want to check YouTube for more of his music, soonest.
His new single, “Love Lust” will be out on October 26th (via Mi7 Records). Babies, it is not an exaggeration when I say that “Love Lust” is my new favorite song (and I was equally blown away by the B-side, “Mr. Flick”). You know what I mean, right? It’s a rare and wonderful thing, and I love when it happens.

You know what I love about AI? The fact that I’ve yet to not love anyone y’all have talked about…except, possibly, Regina Spektor, but that isn’t due to Ms. Spektor so much as a former friend who was exceedingly pretentious and her love of Ms. Spektor. YES, I AM BEING A BIGOT.
ANYWAY. Another thing I love about AI is you. And Tiffiny. And you. And Tiffiny. Mostly you and Tiffiny.
P.S. Even Bill and the kids are digging Mumford and Sons, jsyk.
We love you too, dude. Also, our taste in music is impeccable, so you know. Stands to reason.
I am so glad that we’re able to spread the Mumford love!
I must co-sign this. Because I have a whole new world of music thanks to AI.
Bitta asks for it by name, well sort of. She’s struggling with English, so there’s a lot of Bitta-English translation that happens. We have assumed mommypord is Mumford & Sons. Because she follows it up with DOZE ONE GUYS ON DA COMPOOTER! She is frustrated by our lack of understanding sometimes. It’s like a preview of her teen years really.
Oh, I love it. “Bitta-English translation”. Good ear, Bitta!
I have disliked music because of people like that before. It is hard to get past those things.
You are my favorite thing about your blog and one of my favorite things about the internets in general.
